Research Themes
Demand reduction & management in buildings
The research focuses on occupant behaviour, policy, regulation, socio economic drivers and barriers to energy demand reduction in buildings. It also explores the development, characterisation, implementation and assessment of technologies for improved energy efficiency and utilisation in buildings along with social/user acceptability of these systems.
Key projects:
- Consumer-Appealing Low Energy Technologies for Building Retrofitting
- Modelling the human occupancy factor in the design of naturally ventilated buildings
- Creative Energy Homes
- Measurement, Modelling, Mapping and Management (4M): An Evidence-Based Methodology for Understanding and Shrinking the Urban Carbon Footprint
- Advanced Analysis of Building Energy Performance using Computational Intelligence Approaches
- SUSTAINABLE REGENERATION: FROM EVIDENCE-BASED URBAN FUTURES TO IMPLEMENTATION
